Affiliate disclosure

Last updated Oct 16, 2026

An affiliate link pays a site when a reader clicks through or buys something, and a disclosure exists so readers can tell when that is happening. This page says how YardPermit is funded today and what would have to be disclosed before that changes.

Today

YardPermit has no affiliate links and earns no commission from any mover, broker, storage company or supplier. It has no sponsored placements, paid rankings or paid listings. It does not sell leads, and its forms do not collect a phone number or an email address in the moving tools. The separate Project Brief handoff is described in the privacy notice. No advertising is loaded on any page. YardPermit has applied to Google AdSense; no ad code loads until the application is approved.

If advertising is added

The privacy notice changes first. Ads are labeled as advertising and kept apart from official records, figures and calculations, and no advertiser has a say over what a page says.

If a link ever earns a commission

It is marked where it appears, and this page names the partner before the link goes live.

Where the tools and links send you

Outbound links go to the Census Bureau, FMCSA and eCFR pages that back a figure or a rule, and they carry no referral or tracking codes. The move form on the home page opens Quote Check on this site rather than passing your details to a mover or a broker. Compare Quotes works inside the page and never names a winner on price, and the storage calculator compares volumes with nominal unit sizes, not with any storage company’s catalog or prices.

What money does not change

Official FMCSA fields and Census figures are shown as the agencies publish them. No company can pay to change its record, its place in a Mover Check result or a corridor’s rank. Mover Check lists an exact USDOT match first, then an exact legal-name match, then the remaining results alphabetically; corridors are ranked by the Census estimate alone; and the calculators do not favor any company.

Questions

Questions about how YardPermit is funded go through the contact page. The privacy notice records what the site stores, and the About page describes who runs it.
